In November 1918 in two-room flat near Mirowska Street Kazimierz Szpotanski founded a company called The High Voltage Apparatuses Factory K. Szpotanski and Company. In the beginning he was employing 2 people and his first product was light switches. After remove to Praga (Warsaw) company developed quickly.
In 1938 a few departments was been moved to Międzylesie. Before The Second World War, factory was employing 1200 people (100 engineers) and after war K. Szpotanski left nationalized company, which was renamed to ZWAR. The High Voltage Apparatuses Factory K. Szpotanski and Company became to a home of electrical power equipment. Market success Szpotanski thanks to his open to European technological news and his own laboratory. ZWAR consisted a few factories in Międzylesie, Warsarw on Goclawska street and Przasnysz. Faktory was producing mainly for former ZSRR and after 1990 was been sold to ABB Company as ABB ZWAR. In 2002 was made to Electric Apparatuses Factory Zwarpol Ltd. by ex-employers ABB Company which is still cooperating with in scope of supplying complete insides of measuring transformers. |
